He is also a part-time faculty member at George Washington University in Washington DC, a guest researcher at the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and an affiliate of Georgetown University. He serves on the Association for Computing Machinery's U.S. Technology and Policy Committee, and on the ACM's Ethics and Plagiarism Committee. His current research interests include privacy in data science ethics, cybersecurity, privacy, usability, digital forensics, personal information management, counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism. Welcome to Simson Garfinkel's personal web site.
