If you learn one thing from this electronic tour of our house, learn this: avoid peel-away paint remover. The stuff is really hard to work with. While it does take all of the paint off, it is very hard to get the peel-away stuff off afterwards. It makes a mess. It's expensive. And it damages the wood.
We gave up on peel-away after clearing a small portion of the floor. In the end, we ended up having the upstairs sanded. It's not illegal to sand lead paint if you aren't sanding it for the purpose of lead removal. And we didn't really remove the lead paint: it's still there in all of the cracks.
If you have a floor with lead paint on it and you are looking for the right thing to do, we recommend that you cover the floor with a new floor. That's what we did with our house in Bemont. You get a new floor, and the lead paint remains safe and encapsulated with wood.
