Here is my list of favorite television (TV) shows that I've watched over the past decade or so. Mostly I watch while working out. The problem with Netflix lists is that it keeps track of what you want to see, rather than what you've seen. So it's hard to mine Netflix for a list of recommendations for your friends.

• Star Trek (I re-watched with my kids in 2015 and it holds up.)
• Battlestar Galactica (The 2004 TV series, although I enjoyed the original when I was in high school)
