How To Be Nice To Yourself:
The following method takes under an hour if you're prepared for it. This is my "you need a cookie" recipe, stolen with permission from afriend's grandmother.
2 eggs 2 cups sugar 1 cup molasses 1 cup shortening (Crisco) softened 1 cup "sour" milk (add 1 tsp vinegar to sweet milk) 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cloves 2 tsp soda 5 1/2 cups flour
Size of eggs and how melted shortening is makes a difference in amount of flour - "Judge accordingly" - dough should not be runny.
Bake 375 deg. 10-12 min.
