The NeXT Laser Printer achieves 400-dots-per-inch resolution, which is an improvement of more than 75% over the current 300 dpi standard.  Photographic images are more accurate; type is crisp and black.

The printed image is a perfect replica of what you saw on the NeXT MegaPixel Display.  That's because the NeXT Computer, unlike any other computer in popular use, employs a single imaging system--Display PostScript--to generate both the on-screen image and the printed image.

Even though it offers higher resolution than 300 dpi models, the NeXT Laser Printer is actually priced considerably lower.  So although you can easily share a printer among many NeXT machines, you may not want to.  Now a personal laser printer makes perfect sense.

Using paper or transparency, the NeXT Laser Printer diligently does its work.  Its paper tray adjusts for different sizes--including envelopes.  And its straight paper path virtually eliminates snafus common to other printers.
