Kitchen

This is our kitchen. It's probably the worst room in the house right now. It's got a dropped ceiling that looks like it was installed sometime in the late 1940s or early 1950s. Above the dropped ceiling is a plaster ceiling that looks like the ocean during a storm, only upside down. The kitchen stove is propane; it leaks, so it's turned off right now at the shutoff valve. The sink is just fine, and that's it for major applicances: we don't have a refridgerator, a dish washer, or anything else like that.

One of our big surprises was lead paint in the kitchen: there isn't any. And that's kind of amazing, because the rest of the house is filled with lead: it's on the woodwork, the walls, the ceilings, and even the floors!
