At 92 dots per inch, the NeXT MegaPixel Display provides an image that's rich and wonderfully detailed. This image is generated by PostScript (long the standard for printed images), so, unlike any other computer, what you see on the display is exactly what will print on paper. And you can work on-screen with any of the hundreds of fonts in Adobe's type library.

Sit down at the NeXT Computer and, instinctively, you'll know what to do. Your work is organized in documents and folders, any one of which can be opened with a simple double-click.

This is the "dock," where you put the applications you use most often. Since the NeXT Computer is a multitasking machine, you can simultaneously run as many programs as you want. To start writing your document, double-click the FrameMaker icon.

The FrameMaker menu appears in the upper left corner (though, like any NeXT menu, it can be moved to any convenient place). Click "New," then click "Blank Page" to begin creating a document from scratch.

As you write, you can call on any of FrameMaker's extensive word processing features. You have full search/replace capabilities, automatic indexes and tables of contents, a spell checker and multiple headers and footers.

Choose your weapon. FrameMaker offers a wide selection of tools--including the text tool you're using here and the graphics tools you'll be using in just a matter of pages.

If the text has already been written using another computer, the effort wasn't in vain. With MacLink Plus/PC you can easily convert your files from Macintosh or IBM formats.
