Cases in point are the roll-back incidents from Gillette and Benetton; also Walmart. I think there is a lot that may happen/fail to happen, between accepting a tagged merchandise and finally cutting off the tag. Some may call it (the not so well addressed) consumer confidence! As such, the minimizing approach may remain a hurdle in the way of RFID acceptance.
